Why Donate?

Many of our rescues come from the streets in and around Houston. We operate only on a small adoption fee and donations from the public.

Because of where they are rescued from, many of them require immediate treatment; this is usually an unknown cost to us right away. All are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, combo tested, dewormed, and de-flead before adoption. Often times the treatment of these poor babies is upwards of $300 each to resolve existing health issues.

So as you can see we lose money on every adoption. The adoption fee helps to defray the costs of spay/neutering, microchipping, testing and vaccinations but rarely covers all expenses.

Our rescue fees will vary depending on the care and treatments required for each rescue, and our ever increasing costs, but our priority is always on saving lives!

Every Dollar Counts!   Please donate!

Application Policy & Process

Our adoption policy is for the benefit of the rescued animal.   Our goal is to place our rescues in PERMANENT loving forever home.   We want to help you find the best fit for your family with a pet you choose... but please remember: we are advocates for these rescued animals, since they do not have anyone else to represent them.

We DO NOT adopt on a first come/first serve basis, but rather make every attempt to find the right forever home for each rescue.   Our application process is strict but fair, to help find the best fit for each rescue.   We reserve the right to decline any application based on the review and interview process.

Application Process:

  1. Submit Application: at https://tinyurl.com/ygk952zm
    • The application must be filled out completely & truthfully in order to be considered.
    • Please do not submit an application unless every member of your home is ready to adopt.
    • The applicant MUST be 21 years old to adopt and show photo ID showing your current address.
    • Its helpful to pick a rescue & specify it's name to help us understand your requirements
  2. Interview: discuss & coordinate next steps by phone after application review. (we will call you at the number you specify in the application)
  3. Meet the Pet: coordinate by phone with foster on where/when to meet a pet.
  4. Pick up Your Pet: arrange with the foster to pay the adoption fee & pick up your pet (make sure to ask the foster to provide you with your pet's records).
  5. Register Your Pet's MicroChip: with your pet you will get the information on how to register & update the microchip, to ensure it is up-to-date in case of emergencies.
