Dear Animal Lover, I am writing to you on behalf of my boss, who lost his pet cat whilst traveling in the Houston area on Sept 15th. The cat's name is Spiffy. He is a black and white un-neutered male, approx. 6 months old. He is a much loved family pet whom we bottle fed. I attach some photos of Spiffy, taken two months ago but which should enable identification of his markings. Spiffy was wearing a blue collar with a bell, which was labelled "doggie toy"! The cat was in a motorhome, along with two dogs when they were involved in an accident which only caused slight damage to the vehicle - but just enough to loosen a screen and Spiffy was able to jump out. The accident occurred just off the 610 Loop/290 Freeway intersections. It was either around 18th or 12th Streets, intersecting Hampstead in the north-western area of Houston. We are currently running an ad. in the Houston Chronicle and a number of free web-sites and press but as my boss is still traveling and we are based in Southern California, we would very much appreciate any assistance you can give by posting this information within the Houston area, on message boards, circulating to other animal organizations, animal volunteers, veterinary offices etc. If Spiffy is found, John has a niece in Texas who can collect him.
